Hasum was amazing he takes this tour with such passion and insight into the history, we got to visit the areas of where the soldiers landed on the beach and in the battlefield. David17 October 2026We had a fantastic full-day tour of Gallipoli with Charlie as our guide. It’s a long drive there and back, but well worth it. After lunch, we met Charlie and visited the Gallipoli sites and memorials, including Lone Pine, The Nek, the 57th Infantry Regiment Martyrs’ Cemetery and Chunuk Bair. The history was fascinating and eye-opening, giving us a real appreciation of what happened here and the sacrifices made by both sides. Charlie’s local knowledge was excellent, and his English was outstanding. He shared plenty of interesting information at each stop without overwhelming us with too many facts. The tour was great value for money, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone interested in history. It’s a full day, but absolutely worth doing.Posted on Getyourguide

GetYourGuide Traveller14 October 2026The comfortable, air- conditioned minibus arrived just when the text I had received the day before said it would. Yigit the guide was friendly and helpful and gave plenty of information without overdoing it. Both Hieropolis and the travertines at Pamukkale are really worth visiting and my husband and I really enjoyed paying a bit extra to swim in Cleopatra's pool. The meal was tasty and in a large, immaculately clean restaurant - soulless, but perfect for large numbers, so everything was super easy. The trip costs more than some on the Internet because entrance fees are included (apart from the optional swim). My only quibble was that an extra half hour or so to spend at the travertines and pool would have been brilliant. We joined a tour to Pamukkale with pickup from our hotel in Selçuk. In Pamukkale, we explored the area with a guide, and afterward, we had free time to visit the famous white travertine terraces and the museum at our own pace. We had plenty of free time to explore and really enjoyed the experience. We also appreciated being dropped off at our hotel in Pamukkale after the tour, which was very convenient. The tour was shared with other groups and individual travelers from different countries. We had originally thought it was a private tour, so it would have been helpful to know in advance that it was a group tour. We only realized this when we were picked up at our hotel and saw other passengers already in the vehicle. Later, we transferred to another vehicle and joined more travelers. We were also about five minutes late getting ready, so we apologize for keeping everyone waiting. However, even though it wasn't a private tour, we still had a wonderful time! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Gallipoli and Troy Tour – Outstanding Service! What an absolutely fantastic two-day experience with Crowded House Tours! We cannot recommend this company highly enough. From beginning to end, everything was exceptionally well organised. Our small group of just 12 travelled in a luxurious, comfortable minibus, making the journey relaxed and enjoyable. Hotel pick-up and drop-off, ferry tickets, lunches and accommodation were all taken care of, making the entire experience wonderfully stress-free. Our guides were outstanding – friendly, professional, incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the history they shared. Gallipoli was an especially moving and memorable experience for us as Australians, and Troy was equally fascinating. The driving was excellent, and we felt completely safe and comfortable throughout the journey. What truly impressed us, however, was the extraordinary care and consideration shown to fellow travellers. One couple in our group had mobility difficulties and were travelling with luggage. Rather than having them manage the ferry crossing with their bags, the company thoughtfully arranged for them to transfer to a bus that drove directly onto the ferry for the crossing back to Eceabat, before continuing on to Istanbul. Witnessing this level of genuine kindness, flexibility and attention to individual needs was absolutely heartwarming. It spoke volumes about the professionalism and values of this company. Nothing seemed too much trouble, and every guest was treated with care and respect. It is these thoughtful touches that turn a great tour into an exceptional one. Crowded House Tours exceeded our expectations in every way. Fantastic organisation, wonderful guides, safe and comfortable transport, and truly outstanding customer care. We did 2 tours with Crowded House: 1. Gallipoli (private tour) - this was exceptional. Great pick up/transfer from Istanbul in a comfortable van. Wonderful and knowledgeable private tour guide, Charlie. He was obviously very interested in Gallipoli to the point that he read books about it and hiked the trails outside of work hours. Lunch was included but was not good. A traditional tavern, but with dry meats and unclean table cloths. 2. Ephesus (group tour) - this was great. Again good transfers. The guide Mustafa was great. But the tour was only really a half day tour. The lunch was a pretty terrible buffet with only 2 meat options. The afternoon was at best a waste of time. A stop at a leather shop and Turkish dessert and spice shop where everything was marked up in price. And then a stop at a mountain village that was painfully touristy. These were not on the itinerary and I would have preferred to have just gone back to the hotel instead. The time would have been better spent going to the Basilica of St John and the Ayasuluk Citadel. My advice - do the tours privately and cut out parts of the itinerary you would prefer to avoid.Posted on Google

We took the ferry to canakkale for the night and Troy the next day. With so many people and different itineraries, I'm not sure how they could keep it so well organized. Good. Beutifull It was quite a logistical operation, with bus changes along the way and a stop to pick up some notes, but having said that, everything went smoothly. The guide was truly excellent, motivating, and very knowledgeable.Even though it was a rather brutal climb up to the theatre at Hierapolis, we are talking about a world-class attraction, and it was a magnificent experience—magnificent being the key word.The Cotton Castle was also impressive, although we only viewed it from above. Gallipoli tour with crowded tours Amazing tour, staff friendly, supportive and made the experience so much better. Canakkle is a beautiful township where the office is situated. The little restaurant was awesome, meals looked amazing, unfortunately I was unable to eat anything due to post surgery but it looked great. Our tour guide was very experienced and knowledgeable and it really helped to have a guided tour as i had very limited history about Gallipoli so this made a huge difference. Tour was an eye opener and very emotional once we landed at the NZ memorial site, although I personally had no one who served during that war the wairua was very strong. The best thing for me was being able to touch the water in ANZAC Cove where our history started for our troops. Pit stops we're very good and gave options to purchase food for morningtea and dinner. Greatful to Guided Tours for arranging private puck up for us in the morning from our hotel as it took away the added stress of finding a way to meet at one of the pick up locations and it was pouring down with rain. He was engaging, thoughtful, and incredibly knowledgeable, and made the tour feel very personal and special. He is obviously proud of his vocation and he provided us with great insight which he delivered with passion and objectivity. Burak has a great sense of humour and related with each individual on the tour, engaging with them and showing a keen interest in getting to know them. The accommodation at the Artur Hotel was good. The tour of Gallipoli is one of the best experiences we have had and Burak was a significant reason for this. Megan A24 September 2026Glad We Did It We really enjoyed our tour from Istanbul to Gelibolu with Crowded House tours. Our guide, Çağir (or Charlie) was excellent. A great source of information with strong knowledge of the terrain, the battles and all the stories. A stop in Eceabat for lunch was friendly. Visiting the site was moving, as it should be. It's hard to believe somewhere so peaceful and beautiful was once so terrible. Whilst the return trip from Istanbul is a very long day, the transport is very comfortable with stops half way down and back for food and refreshments as well as a lovely lunch before the start of the tour. The tour of Gallipoli is amazing and vists all key locations with amazing commentary and insights at each location as well as ample time to look around and take photos. Our guide on the day, Hasan was amazing - he has been doing Gallipoli tours for 18 years and is extremely knowledgable and passionate in telling the stories from all perspectives - Australian, New Zealand and Turkish. Our guide Burak was outstandingly knowledgeable, we learnt so much in two days and he answered any questions we had. It is clear he is extremely passionate about the Gallipoli campaign and Australian culture and this is really felt in his tour. As we had family members who were present during Gallipoli, this meant a lot to us and we really appreciated his knowledge and passion. Our driver (B, sorry unsure of his full name), was also extremely friendly and helpful. Our tour was 15 people from all over the world, 4 Australians, 2 Irish included. We managed to fit every site of importance with plenty of time to explore and reflect. A truly emotional day for many of us, the nation of Turkiye have paid such respect to each and every nation involved. Our guide Birak (not Borat in a manikini) knew more about the Gallipoli campaign and Australian and New Zealand culture than anyone l have ever met. His humility, genuine respect and knowledge added to this wonderful experience. You will be very lucky to spend the day with such an intelligent man. Our drivers were always helpful and told us about interesting points along the way, especially our morning driver (l am sorry l forgot his name). We chose the one‑day trip from Istanbul, and although it was a long day—picked up from our hotel at 6 am and returning after 9 pm—it was absolutely worth it. If your time in Istanbul is limited and you can manage a full travel day, this tour is a must. Our guide did an excellent job of bringing the soldiers’ experiences to life while keeping the atmosphere engaging and light‑hearted. She is extremely knowledgeable, personable and presents information in an engaging way and is answers any questions you might have. She is also highly qualified, holding masters in tourism studies and history and literature. The minibus is very comfortable and air-conditioned and the lunch on the Gallipoli tour is delicious. Comfy air con vehicle from Istanbul to Canakkale followed by a nice relaxed lunch before the tour. Our tour guide, Ibrahim, was incredibly knowledgeable with excellent English and a great sense of humour. We saw a lot of sites and the tour was just the right length of time to get to see important sites and have time for photos etc. My grandfather landed at Anzac Cove as an 18 year old and went on to survive the Western Front and came home at the age of 22. It was very moving for me to see the beach where he would have first put his boots on Turkish sand. I highly recommend this tour and Crowded House Tours for really looking after guests. Hasan, our guide, had obviously done his research and shared many details and interesting background stories with us, keeping his delivery as light and entertaining as the subject matter would allow. If we had to make just one suggestion (with all due respect for the many visitors from from the formerly allied countries undertaking this tour), it would be to spend some more time on how the conflict was perceived on the Turkish side and by the many Turkish soldiers and their families (keeping in mind that the Ottoman Empire had been at war for most of the years preceding World War One already).Posted on Google
